How To Identify A Font From A Picture

Many of us have wondered how to identify a font from an image. In this article, we’ll demystify this process and show you how simple it can be.

Our first step is to visit WhatTheFont, a service designed to identify fonts from images you upload.

The requirements for the image are:
– minimum 100 pixels in height;
– horizontal positioning of the text; the image can be rotated;
– letters should blend in only a little.

There are a total of 3 steps:
1. Upload the image by drag and drop or by selecting it through your browser.

2. The algorithm will try to find the text in the image and, if necessary, adjust the area.

3. Examine the results, a suitable font will not necessarily be at the top of the list.
